Reflect The artifact of the article reflection shows my reflection on what I learned from reading an article written from veteran teacher explaining how current research such as the English Language Development, which is a systematic use of instructional strategies that can help English language learners acquire the English language. The article made me aware of different strategies to incorporate into my teachings that will make me a better teacher while I assist English language learners. For example, adjusting the way I speak by slowing down my speech, enunciating words correctly, and using repetition will help English language learners. The tutoring reflection artifact shows my evaluation of the effects my choices had on my tutee. This artifact shows how my selection of book material might not have been the best choice for my tutee to read due to the difficulty of words. Reflecting back on what went wrong and what went well during my tutoring session with my tutee allows me as a practitioner to find better ways to teach my tutee. This artifacts also shows how teaching is an on- going process where the I had to pick and chose reading material and word study activities that will would help fit my tutee’s learning needs.

These artifacts have help me as a learner see how important it is to reflect on the choices you have made with your students to evaluate if the choices you have made are the appropriate one and if they are not there are many research articles from colleagues and professional literature that can help me as learner become a better teacher. Using the research that is out there and incorporating to the way I teach my classroom will help me as a teacher make better choices that will help me as a teacher grow professionally as I learn about effective ways to teach my students
